Pastel clouds of smoke.
I Love the contrast between the two images as the first one takes a romanticized , more pastel effect with the soft hues of pink, and the soft surroundings. However, Rhea Theirstein has styled the second image to contrast the colours to the first image by creating a brash yellow cloud of smoke parallel to the bright green shade of the grass.
The styling is also a fantastic contrast; between the brightly coloured albeit borderline tacky-chic parrot in the second image, as opposed to the soft, vintage inspired stripy pastel umbrella in the first.
Although several contrasts can be drawn from the two images; both models are wearing striped couture, and standing by the french armoire inspired white fireplace. This creates a sense of consistency throughout the editorial, yet also creating a strong visual contrast.

I've just stumbled across this absolute gem: Shona Heath for clm, is a set designer who has worked with clients such as 10, Dazed&Confused , Pop and Vogue.
" Shona Heath reaches for the stars with this zodiac inspired shoot for British Vogue. Shot by Tim Gutt, it features Shona’s whimsical take on each of the 12 astrological signs, styled by Kate Phelan. Our favourite has to be the giant jumper for Aries, which was actually knitted on specially made over-size needles. Stellar! "

Ich liebe Berlin
Berlin
17/1/11 - 23/1/11
Along with a lot of sightseeing and photo-taking,
here are the official reasons for the trip I took with my uni course:
Bread & Butter
PREMIUM
PREMIUM Trade show : Berlin.
This show featured the most prestigious premium brands from throughout Europe.
We went and browsed the beautiful stands and it was certainly an experience, albeit a bit overwhelming when you're not actually there to buy into the brands.
Bread & Butter fashion trade show.
As we're doing a re-branding / communication strategy for New Balance shoes, we went to visit the stand at the world renowned annual trade show in Berlin.
..and plus we got lots of freebies, including glossy magazines ,and a mini steak sandwich and glass of vino from the Tommy Hilfiger installation.

There was a instant photobooth at the Converse stand in Bread & Butter. This lovely german guy who installed the fittings at the show said he was lonely and wanted some girls in his photo. Me and Ella happily obliged and took some silly snaps with the dude...good fun!
